Your Place to Discover Wellness

Join our FB Group

WHOO AH! You’re invited to join the Art of Wellness FB Community for both men and women.

This group is for individuals who want to help EMPOWER, INSPIRE and UPLIFT each other as they move forward on their well-being journey and enjoy greater abundance.

I created this group as a way to support one another as we learn how to navigate through the challenges that many of us face on our health and well-being journey.  Let’s Build a Better, Stronger Tomorrow! for ourselves, our family and our community.

It is a closed group so only members can see what’s is being discussed. It’s a safe space to share our stories, ask questions, post articles and connect with other fabulous women!

Bi-weekly 5km Nordic Walking

Starting June 2018 be on the lookout for our 5km Nordic Walking Group events to take place at Parc Mont St-Bruno, QC with departure times at 8:30 am. every Wednesday and Saturday.

Nordic Walking is fun and easy to learn at any fitness level. It is a low-impact exercise that is safe and effective for all age groups and for those who are recovering from an injury.  What is so beneficial about walking with poles is that it relieves the stress on the ankles, knees, and hips and transfers the workload to the arms, legs, and core.   It is a total body workout burning up to 45 percent more calories than regular walking.

Some of the benefits include improved blood circulation, weight control, prevent bone loss, increase muscle strength, manage stress, promote quality sleep, boost energy,  and enhance well-being.

These events will be posted on the event page of this website and on FB at https://www.facebook.com/artofwellnessca

Day and annual passes to the park can be purchased on-site and for more info go to https://www.sepaq.com/pq/msb/index.dot?language_id=1

NEW!  Trail Running

We have added Trail Running Group events to take place every Wednesday and Saturday at Parc Mont St-Bruno, QC with departure times at 8:30 am.

Running, in general, strengthens the heart and cardiovascular system; it strengthens the legs; it improves bone density of the legs and hips and it helps you maintain a healthy weight.

Trail running does this and more! Trail running challenges coordination, agility, and balance, especially if running on technical trails full of rocks, roots, and uneven terrain. Avoiding falls, negotiating steep slopes, cutting around sharp corners and landing on unstable surfaces all help build athleticism.

Additionally, exercising in the outdoors in nature provides an escape from everyday stressors such as noise, electronics, cars, pollution etc. These distractions will be replaced with the sights and sounds of nature which will encourage relaxation and enhance enjoyment.

Events will be posted on our FB page at http://www.facebook.com/artofwellnessca/

Day and annual passes to the park can be purchased on-site and for more info go to https://www.sepaq.com/pq/msb/index.dot?language_id=1
